BOOKS
On this page you can find access to all the books written here at Fiddlesticks Education, from engrosing living narrative non fiction books aimed at your young people, to collections of tales and even parent guides to help you on your learning journey.
PICTURE BOOKS
My Playful Education collection features a loving hand illustrated rhyming picture book with a teaching guide featuring a range of different activities tailored the the UK EYFS framework and printable hands on activities you can play through together. Each Curriculum covers a range of different subjects from phonics and number to key themed activities to learn about the featured topic.
Wonder Books
The wonder book collection features short chapter books, ideal for early readers but suitable for ages 8-14. They are narrative non fiction books. My personal favourite type of book to read, but noticing a lack of this type of book available for younger audiences (only finding fiction or short form non fiction), I set out to bring the pleasure of reading beautifully lyrically prose combined with scientific or historical fact. These books will cover a range of topics and subjects (and will probably say a lot about my own personal interests).

Where the Wild Comes Home
Nature / Science
The Yorkshire Wildlife Park holds a special place in my heart, having spent many happy hours there over the last 15 years. In that time, I've gathered stories. Stories of the animals who have called it home, watching their ways and spending time in their presence.
With the arrival of a new group of rescue lions, it feels like the park has come full circle, and the time was right to share these stories.
Illustrated Chapter books
The Living Education collection features an illustrated early chapter book, with a factual science filled fictional story. Each chapter is accompanied by a science theme, extra non-fiction narrative entries, experiments and journaling prompts in a detailed teaching guide at the back of the book. Each chapter's science theme includes a beautiful hand painted printable to explore the topic further.
Collected Tales
The collected tales books all feature a selection of very short stories (around 3 pages), whether short biographies, descriptions of wildlife or places to visit. These stories are written in rich narrative styles that tie perfectly with Charlotte Mason methods, and their short length lend themselves perfectly to be added to a morning time.

Nature Notes South America
Science / Nature
Take a wondrous journey through the incredible and varied biomes of South America, discover the unique creatures that call this continent home. From the cold, rocky slopes of the Andes to the lush, verdant Amazon rainforest, this is an adventure with nature you will never forget.
Curious Collection
The Curious collection is written with children aged 8-14 in mind. It is told in short narrative non fiction stories, with a choose your own adventure element, where children can follow their own curiosity and delve into the topic at hand. Instead of reading from cover to cover, follow your own curiosity and take charge of your own information exploration.
Comprehensive Education
The comprehensive collection offers a range of topics for learners aged 14 to adult. Each book features a range of in depth narrative essays, arranged into topics to fully explore different aspects of the subject. Take notes as you study each of the topics and then complete the course by embarking on one of the suggested capstone projects.
